Relate’s patent-pending Body Adaptive ControlTM combines a weight-sensing synchronized tilt mechanism with a pivoting back, resulting in improved pressure distribution, superior back support, and most importantly movement for healthy sitting. Relate also features a Quick TensionTM lever (patent pending) that can be moved from the lowest tension to the highest in literally one second. This intuitive adjustment allows users to fine tune their back support to fit any task throughout the day, while leaving the back unlocked and encouraging movement.
The Relate seating offering is a broad collection of seating that addresses the functional requirements of any seating application, while at the same time providing a wide range of aesthetic options. The Relate seating collection includes solutions for workstations, conference rooms, private offices, guest seating, training rooms, project rooms, cafés, and standing height workstations. Options include upholstered, mesh, and polymer backs, two frame colors, and upholsteries spanning hundreds of choices – all available on every model.
Relate is built to perform so it stays in the office and out of the landfill. The first principle of designing for the environment is to not have a disposable product in the first place, so Relate is manufactured using aluminum castings and structural moldings. High wear areas are unavoidable, so the seat and back upholstery and arm pads on Relate are easily field replaceable by facilities staff. Consequently Relate seating can remain useful throughout its intended lifecycle, and a tear or stain doesn’t mean an otherwise functional chair is thrown out. In addition, the Relate work chair is 88% recyclable and the Relate side chair is 95% recyclable.
