Seven Trade Shows, Five Countries: United by Sustainability
This year’s trade show season felt undeniably different. As the design world continues to recalibrate post-Covid, we saw a paradigm shift towards sustainability and wellness, which showed up in new and unexpected ways.
Playful and whimsical designs seen in bright colors, bold patterns, and curious shapes took center stage, inviting people to find new value in spaces that spark inspiration and joy.
Sustainability was the dominant theme across all events, with new materials like paper pulp, eel grass, and hemp making thier debuts. Manufacturers emphasized their commitment to sustainability through certifications such as B Corp. and Cradle to Cradle.
While there remains a sense of uncertainty, the proposition of real change has sparked a wave of creativity and innovation, resulting in a trade show season that was as inspiring as it was transformative.
